Atlantic  Car Stereo opened its doors in August 1984 on the Strip Mall on Main Street. We had a staff of Two and Occupied 1600 square feet. Today we are located at 26 Lakecrest Drive, occupying 6000 square feet, and accommodate a staff of 12.

Originally we were selling strictly car audio. Today we sell a wide range of car electronic products, as well as a full selection of Car and Truck accessories.  Car Audio has changed so significantly over the years, we started with selling 8-Tracks, then moved on to Cassettes, then it  became CD's and now the new generation of USB based products.

One of our company's  favourite memories is in September 2003.  Halifax had just been hit with the Class 2 Hurricane Juan.  A Pelican, that was blown in from Florida arrived and was stranded on the roof of Ralphs Place. Macphee Pontiac loaned a van to a kind Dartmouth resident, and we supplied the Cruise Control and "Ralph the Pelican" was driven back to his home Florida.
 
Atlantic Car Stereo is in the process of rebranding the business to "Atlantic Car" Our goal in the future is to continue to increase our product lines, and continue to offer great service and prices to the customers and car dealers of the HRM!
